Once Upon a Time.

by NiKolaS on December 8, 2009

Once upon a time i was a person who wrote stuff. Important shit. Stuff that for the life of me i cannot recall. I know this makes me sound pathetic and whiny but i do not fucking care. I have cared for far too long what i put up here in this space and i find, rather painfully that it has not been constructive. I have opinions about everything, from cars and news articles to what i feel about the fucking Americans bombing the frickin moon and i shall feel free to share, no matter in what light they paint me in.

For those who did not bother to read my entire rant up there or could not follow my train of thought up there, this is my space, i say what i want to say, if you think otherwise let me know in the comments, we shall learn, together, sharing, discussing, getting into fist fights, having a debate, whatever goes here people, feel free to share, i shall try as much as possible to accommodate all y’all.

I do so miss the days of old, the tussles the vibrant blogging community which has all but fallen into an abyss, not much to read about these days in the Kenyan spheres, unless i am mistaken, point me in the direction of the latest best regular bloggers, i shall for long as there be breath in me point a light in their direction, company of my peers is getting scant and i shall do my darndest to keep those that remain in this “hobby” as its described, rolling forward.

I find Blogging therapeutic, in which case i, to the detriment of my mental health, and the sad demise of a few relationships including one with the Compiler which i am working on, growing closer and closer to Him each day, with each prayer, each act try as much as possible to be the man he created me to be, an example and a light to all who shall chance to meet me, work with me, read me, twitter with me, and such like, see me and see God in me, wholly and without reservation.

For those of my readers who have come to love the laughter that these here pages transmit on the rare occasion that they have something new, i promise to continue on that vein. Though there may be less of a picture of a lolcat or a video, there will always be something to smile about whenever you see a new post appearing in your favourite RSS reader. :)

I’m still stuck on the fist fight *kapow!*

@dorcas – It used to be very exciting to blog, people actually expressed their real opinion, not just agreeing with whatever was being said. *sigh*

Hmm….been gone awhile, so I don’t know what the blogging world is like lately. But, I do remember there were some great bloggers here and I see some familiar faces are still around. Keep blogging, and never conform. After all, if you can’t express yourself freely on your own blog as an anonymous person, where else will you do it?

Hi,

I can see you remember the good old days of “blog wars” and very heated discussions. I remember following some discussion all the way to over 150 responses. People were not joking with blogging. It was serious business. Today twitter rules I guess and some blogs like mine are just ‘boring online journals’ f0r aimless self reflection.

But please do keep it up! (and what happened to ‘the faust chronicle’??)

Yeah, the blog wars… Blogging had a real impact on life, jus that there’s new technology now… I went away from blogging for a year, and i just had to come back… Maybe, just maybe, some more will get back to real blogging…

@sisbigbones – I just saw your new posts on my google reader, i shall be there soon to offer my 30 cents. Unfortunately anonymity leapt out the window quite a while ago as such i must blog boldly even if i am known, better yet as i am no long anonymous my views hold more water right?

@KR – Those are “the good old days” as its famously put today. I love Twitter yes, to a fault, but there is still the fact that this here is my internet blog page. No one can take it away, you never know when Twitter shall pack up and head home, deleting all your witty tweets as they leave town.

What is your Twitter by they way?

@Shee – I see you back, and with a cherub in tow, congratulations. I hope you drag a few of your mates back to blogging with you!

Thx to @Mwirigi who voted for you on FF I got to your blog.

I’d love to see a forward looking (not backwards-leaning, lazy-sitting-around-and-waiting-for-things-to-happen) Kenya again. Every Kenyan should try to contribute and I bet that a big movement can change a lot if ever one contributes in his way.

Looking forward to reading your contributions!
